What is Tartu 3vs3 HOCKEY CUP? 

 

In the year 2024, the tournament was specifically created for amateur hockey players of varying levels of hockey skill and age. Main objectives of the tournament:

  1. Promoting hockey among amateurs: We strive to make hockey accessible to everyone, fostering interest in the sport across all age groups and among players of varying skill levels.   

  2. Building a community: We bring together amateur hockey players from different regions and countries, creating a platform for communication, experience sharing, and positive energy.                             

  3. Popularisation a healthy lifestyle: Hockey is not just a game but also a step towards better health and an active lifestyle. Our tournaments help participants maintain physical fitness and stay active.                                                                                                                                                    

  4. Fostering sportsmanship and a friendly atmosphere: Our tournaments are held in the spirit of friendly competition, providing an environment for showcasing skills without pressure or unpleasant rivalry.                                                                                                                                        

  5. Supporting all skill levels: We organize tournaments for players of different groups, from beginners to advanced players, ensuring that everyone feels part of the hockey community.             

  6. Skill development: Participation in our tournaments offers players the chance to improve their sports skills, enhance their game, and gain valuable experience. 

 

Description of the skill level of the tournament participants.

 

26.04.2025
The tournament is planned for players with beginning and intermediate levels of hockey skill. Good for beginners. NOT suitable for players who have been playing professionally or amateur players with a high level of hockey skill. Suitable for players from the Latvian EHL league starting from the E4 league and below. The tournament is also suitable for mid-level players from the First Tartu Amateur Hockey League.

 

03.05.2025
The tournament is planned to be held at the level of the First Tartu Amateur Hockey League. Mostly, the league involves hockey players who have been playing hockey for at least 15 – 20 years. Most players started playing hockey as adults. The tournament is suitable for amateur hockey players with a good level of hockey skill. NOT SUITABLE for players who are performing, or have been performing for a long time at a professional level.

 

10.05.2025
The tournament is for amateur players 50 years of age and older.

 

17.05.2025 
The tournament is planned for players with beginning and intermediate levels of hockey skill. Good for beginners. NOT suitable for players who have been playing professionally or amateur players with a high level of hockey skill. Suitable for players from the Latvian EHL league starting from the E4 league and below. The tournament is also suitable for mid-level players from the First Tartu Amateur Hockey League.


Additional information

     ·         All participants regardless of place are awarded a commemorative prize and a case of                    beer. The first three teams are awarded with cups and medals. Also 3 best players of the                whole tournament are awarded – the best goalkeeper, the best offensive player, the
         best defensive player.

 

 ·       A table will be organised for the tournament participants, where players will be able to make tea and coffee. Drinking water, fruits, biscuits and sweets will also be provided.

 

·       After the tournament, the organizer will send you a link with photos taken by a
professional sports photographer.

 

·       The tournament organisers arenot responsible for lost items. Tournament participants will have the opportunity to use a locker to store their personal belongings.

 

 ·      Warming up on the ice is allowed three minutes before the start of play

     in the middle zone. The use of a hockey puck is prohibited during warm-ups !
