The most important rule is to enjoy the tournament as much as possible and to respect the enjoyment of others. Always behave with dignity in any situation, both on and off the ice. This applies to fans as well.

Rules

There are 8 teams participating in the tournament.

Only amateur players over 18 years of age can participate.

PLAYERS FROM TOP HOCKEY LEAGUES ARE NOT ALLOWED!

Recommended number of players per team: 9 – 12 players + 1 or 2 goalkeepers. We do not recommend registering less than 9 players.

Slap shots and body checks are prohibited. Failure to comply with these rules will be considered an offense.

The tournament is held in two groups of 4 teams.
All 4 teams in each group play against each other based on standings. Afterward, the teams play for placement.
Teams finishing 1st – 2nd in their groups continue to play for 1st – 4th place in the tournament.
Teams finishing 3rd – 4th in their groups continue to play for 5th – 8th place in the tournament.

Each team will play 5 games. Game duration 21 minutes.

The tournament is played 3 vs 3 in the zone: Shifts change on the whistle every 60 seconds. The first warning whistle will sound at 57 seconds.
After the second whistle, players on the playing field must leave the puck and go to their bench to change.
The game continues with the same puck used by the players from the previous shift.

Entering and leaving the playing area:
Players can only enter the playing area at the designated spot (marked on the ice).
Players can leave the playing area anywhere, except for the opponent’s change zone.
Do not enter the playing area before the second whistle has sounded!
Failure to comply with this rule will be considered an offense!
Players who were on the playing field cannot touch the puck after the second whistle.
Failure to comply with this rule will be considered an offense!

Tiebreaker and penalty shootouts:
If the winner of the match is not determined in regulation time during group games, each team will take 1 penalty shot.
If no winner is determined in the games for placement, 3 minutes of extra time will be played.
If the game is still tied after extra time, teams will take 3 shootouts each.
The execution of shootouts will be determined by a draw. The team that wins the draw will choose who starts the shootout.

Point system:

  • A win in regulation time earns 3 points.
  • A win after a shootout earns 2 points.
  • A loss after a shootout earns 1 point.
  • A loss in regulation time earns 0 points.

Tiebreaker criteria:
If two or more teams have the same number of points after the group stage, the winner is determined by:

  1. Head-to-head result.
  2. Highest number of wins.
  3. Goal difference (goals scored minus goals conceded).
  4. Highest number of goals scored.
  5. Least number of goals conceded.
  6. Flip of a coin.

After a goal:
The player from the team that conceded the goal takes the puck from the net and continues the game.
Players of the opposing team must move at least 4 meters away from the net.
Once the puck is under control by the player, they are free to attack.
The same applies when the goalie covers the puck.
Tip: Take the puck from the net or goalie and move behind your net.

If the puck goes over the court boundary:
The referee will conduct a throw-in.

If the puck touches the fence net and falls back onto the court:
The referee will not stop play. The game continues.

Goalkeeper substitution:
Teams can substitute their goalkeeper with a fourth field player during the game.

Time-outs:
There is NO possibility for a team to take a time-out during the game.

Breaking the rules.

If the rules are violated, the referee raises their hand and announces the team that will play on the powerplay in the next shift.
This means that the next shift (1 minute) will be played in a 4 vs 3 format. Regardless of whether the powerplay is realized or not, the fourth player will stay off the ice for the entire shift (1 minute).

When the fourth player must play the next shift, they must touch the fence near their team (marked on the ice) with their stick after the signal for the shift.
This means that the player cannot start the game from the spot where the shift whistle caught them.

If the violation was committed by a player who was in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper, the referee has the right to call for a shootout.

If the violation occurred in the last shift of the game (between 20:00 and 21:00 minutes), after the final whistle, the referee will award penalty shots for each violation of the rules in the last shift.
The penalty shot will be taken by the player who was the target of the violation.

If there is a delay during the game or the last shifts, the referee has the right to add playing time after the end of the game.
Intentional delays will be considered a violation of the rules.

If the fans of one team behave inappropriately, the referee has the right to award a shootout in favor of the opposing team.

The referee has the authority to disqualify a player for the remainder of the game or the entire tournament.
Disqualification can be given for rough play or disrespectful behavior toward opposing players or the referee. A penalty of three shootouts will be imposed for disqualification.
